EDUCATIONAL MENTORSHIP AT-RISK YOUTH PROGRAM

Our Educational Mentorship At-Risk Program provides mentorship programing for children and youth in our community who are at risk for failing or dropping out of school. Here, we mentor children and teens as well as provide tutoring services to assist them in doing well in school and staying on tract. We assign mentors that work in fields of interests to the students. These mentors tutor and help to steer our young people in the right direction. Our mentors give selflessly, spend time with children, help them with homework/assignments, and sometimes allow them to shadow them in the field. With the great success we’ve had, many of our students have finished school and some have gone on to college. As well known by educators everywhere, a key component of supporting at-risk children, especially in Liberia, is ensuring teachers have quality educational resources.  We work with partners to develop, train, and monitor early childhood educators to give young children the best opportunities for developmentally appropriate learning.
